Recruiting FFP Alumni

The University of Tokyo offers FFP (the Future Faculty Program) to graduate students, post-doctoral students, and young educators aiming to become university professors. FFP receives requests and recruiting information from university HR departments across Japan. As of December 2015, four requests have come in calling for applicants who have finished FFP.
Those who have finished the program total 240 as of December 2015. Program finishers learn and receive marks covering their interest in university education, the current state of secondary education, class design, active learning techniques, mock class demonstrations, and more. A network grows among those who finish the program and this includes a mini-lecture program where students demonstrate a class and observe their peers. Other post-program activities include study seminars and self-guided training opportunities.
We eagerly await any referral or recruitment information for FFP alumni who will take on the role of future leaders in higher education.
