How to Apply for FFP

Prerequisites for FFP

In order to join UTokyo FFP, you must be a full-time graduate student, post-doctoral student, or junior faculty and staff at the University of Tokyo. If you fall into one of these categories, please follow the pre-entry or entry steps below. We also offer an observer (auditor) category for those outside the university. Participants in this category are allowed, in principle, to attend all of the classes. Please inquire for details.

Entry

The program opens for applications in March and August each year. Please use the entry form if you would like to apply for FFP. Selections will be made from the applications, with results sent out before the classes begin.

Pre-entry

The program opens for applications twice a year. You can sign up to receive notices of these dates through a pre-entry process. If you sign up for pre-entry, we will send you a message when the official entry period begins. Please use this pre-entry process if we are not in one of the open entry periods.

Credit

By following the rule of each graduate department, graduate students can receive the credit of UTokyoFFP. This program is opend as a course “Teaching Development in higher education”. For receiving the credit, please consult your graduate department with the registration in detail.
